The important part is the boundary: this is not a remote API for your business data. The visible TaskTime Pro browser app remains the authority.
What is an AI agent task manager?

Most AI productivity tools start with a cloud service. You create an account, upload data, and let the vendor’s servers mediate everything.
TaskTime Pro takes the opposite approach.
The agent bridge runs on the same device as the user. The bridge speaks MCP over stdio to the agent host, then pairs with the running TaskTime Pro browser app through Account > Agent Access. The bridge does not open IndexedDB directly, does not edit raw Yjs documents, and does not create a hidden cloud control channel.
That keeps the architecture aligned with the rest of TaskTime Pro:
- Your project and client data stays local-first
- The browser app validates and applies changes

In this release, 29 commands are approval-gated. These include destructive, billing, export, restore, email, and account-level operations where mistakes can have real consequences.
A sensitive command can proceed through a visible TaskTime Pro approval prompt. A trusted local agent can also use an exact-input approval token, but the token is bound to the command and input. If the agent changes the input, it needs new approval.
That is the right balance for freelance admin work. An agent can help gather context and prepare the action, but final authority stays with the person who owns the business data.
